Roosevelt Restaurant is a new restaurant in Portland, Oregon's Richmond District / Hawthorne opening early 2013. Created by chef Eric Bechard, whose renowned McMinnville, Oregon restaurant Thistle was named 2011 Restaurant of the Year by The Oregonian, Roosevelt is a chef driven restaurant with a down to earth, ever changing menu that is founded upon the farm to table and nose to tail philosophies: all ingredients are local, organic and sustainable, and meats — whether farm raised or wild game — make the most of the whole beast. Roosevelt Restaurant's distinctive locavorian dishes blend the hunt and gather spirit with grassroots agriculture and imaginative gourmet. Roosevelt's sour beers and ciders are hand-crafted in small batches by Oregon breweries, and Roosevelt Restaurant's wine list features Oregon wines from wineries throughout the Willamette and Yamhill Valleys.
